Well, Joren isn't technically 3 until December 24th, but this year we decided to celebrate with our friends a little early. She had a great day and as you can see, a fabulous butterfly cake, made by Summer Stone!

Okay well I see that I have 2 people who have checked this so I may as well post something! =) However, you have probably already seen these pictures on my facebook. Oh well!

So this is Jeven's latest obsession. He really hasn't had too many, and this one is all thanks for his daddy. There was absolutely no question as to what Jeven would be for Halloween this year. After all, he is Jedi Jeven. In fact, we were at a play date this morning and the little boy had Star Wars legos. I said, "Oh wow, Noah likes Star Wars too Jeven!" The mom said, "You like Star Wars Jeven?" Jeven replied, " No, I LOVE Star Wars!" So he got his costume in the mail today and has been living in it ever since. Love him!

Jeven and his Bible

Okay okay, I know I haven't blogged in like, forever and I am far too behind to start playing catch up. But this morning, something happened that I felt was blog-worthy and a good post to start blogging again..... for all my 2 or 3 readers! =) Anyway, here goes...

So this morning, Donny and I were talking while I was still lying in bed, and we hear Jeven's door open. So he comes out of his room holding his Bible in his hand. He walks by or door and sees us both and just raises a hand and says "hi," and he keeps walking. We look at each other like, what?? So we listen intently in our room as we hear the dining room table chair pull out and Jeven sit down. That also happens to be the same chair Donny reads his Bible in in the morning. So we sneak out so we can get a visual of him and he is seriously just sitting on the chair "reading" his Bible. We watched him for quite a while just melting while he continued to just stare at his open Bible. Donny finally said "I can't take it anymore" and he walked down the hall to see Jeven. He said "What are you doing bud?" Jeven said "I'm reading my Bible." So I said, "Yeah, but really,why are you doing it?" Jeven answered "Well, maybe 2 days ago, Daddy told me it is important to read my Bible every morning." Donny left the house saying "That just made my day."

I am just so excited to see where the Lord takes this kid. I mean, he is so responsive to Donny's teaching about the Bible and is always so excited to learn about the Lord. So anyway, I hope this brings a little smile to you all too!! =)

Our trip to California

So here are some pictures from the fun part of our trip to California a couple weeks ago. The trip was mainly consumed with memorial services and such things, but the last day Daddy surprised Jeven with his first trip to Disneyland!! Joren stayed home with my folks so it was just me and the Jev on the airplane!

And onto Disneyland!!!

We have had quite a month! I will hopefully be updating the blog a lot in the next week or so, but for now, here are some pictures of my adorable nephew Jordan. We flew down to California last week for a funeral (I will talk more about it later) and Disneyland (I will talk more about this later too!) I just knew Evie would be wanting to see these first. So, my disclaimers are: the lighting was not great and he didn't sit still for more than a second so they aren't my best quality. BUT, when you have a cute subject somehow it doesn't matter much!

Grandma & Grandpa Ski

Jeven and Joren LOVE their Grandma and Grandpa! And that is an understatement! And I think the feeling is mutual! Every night before bed, Joren asks if we are going to Grandma's house when she wakes up. Jeven's best friend in the whole world is his Grandpa. He calls Jeven his "pal." We are so blessed to have them right down the road, and not only because they are great babysitters! So, here are just a few pictures from their house a couple weeks ago.

I just wanted to clear something up from a previous post. Donny is NOT going into the acting business! It was just a joke! I guess I am a pretty good liar, but apparently I really got people thinking he is making the job change. So no, he is not co-starring with Tommy Lee Jones so don't be looking for it in theaters in 2009! :) Sorry for the mix up!
Donny is having a Lonesome Dove party with some guys in a couple weeks, and he had me photoshop him into the picture for the invitation. I just thought I'd share the laugh with all of you, but apparently I did a pretty good job!
Real Donny update: He IS losing his job in January for sure, and we don't really have another plan right now, so we would love prayer for direction at this point. I am thinking of upping my photography rates to $1000 a pop for a while, just until he gets settled somewhere else....okay just another joke! I better be more careful from now on!

Her Big Girl bed!

Joren is such a big girl all of the sudden! She has decided to be potty trained, without much training from me and is sleeping in a big girl bed! This all happened a little too quick for me, but I guess she was ready. We had just sort of tossed the idea around about selling the crib cause we already had the bed in storage, so I posted it on Craigslist just to see what would happen, and that night she was sleeping in her new bed! Where did the time go? I know everyone says that, but really, she was just my little baby!

We just wanted to update you all on Donny's job situation. As many of you know, Donny is most likely losing his job this January. So he decided to pursue a different line of work completely, and has gone into the acting industry. He quickly received a job offer to remake a western mini-series, perhaps you are familiar with "Lonesome Dove." He will be co-starring with Tommy Lee Jones; replacing Robert Duvall and playing his character Augustus McCrae. We are so excited about this opportunity; be looking for it in theatres Fall 2009!

Jeven's first day of school

Well, today was Jeven's first day of pre-school. He is going to Little Spartan Preschool, at Hillsboro High School, which is the exact same place I went! It was funny, I walked in and it still smelled EXACTLY the same...Now that I think about it, I don't know if that is a good thing, considering I went there over 20 years ago! Anyway, he loved every minute of it and I am excited for him. These aren't exactly the classic "first day of school" pictures I was going for, but it was just his mood. Donny and I were sitting in the orientation meeting last Friday, and Donny leaned over and said, "Can you believe we have a son in school and we are in a meeting about it??!" Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was bringing home my little 6lb. baby from the hospital! Oddly enough, though, at the meeting, as everyone else may have been getting a little misty-eyed at the thought of their baby heading off into the real world, I was choked up, literally fighting back tears, not because Jeven isn't my little baby anymore, but because the teacher was having the sick talk with all of us; telling us how when one kid brings something, everyone else gets it. "It spreads like wildfire" was the exact phrase she used. What the heck is wrong with me?? I am more anxious about the bugs Jeven is going to bring home than the fact that he is such a big boy! Anyway, there is a prayer request if you need something to be praying for us about. Ok, that's it-Enjoy the photos!

This is a posting dedicated to my little Jevers. He is such a sweet boy! He always showers me with compliments, like, I will come in the room and he says "Oh Mommy, you look beautiful!" And he ALWAYS says, "Mommy I love you."
This morning, I am embarrassed to say, Jeven heard me utter in my overwhelmed state, "I just want to die." ( I know, I know, terrible!) He then said "You can't die, Mama. I need you to be alive. I love you too much."
And his latest, that just breaks my heart is "Mommy I love you so bad."

Jeven's soccer camp!

Last week Jeven went to soccer camp, and I think he had a good time! He has never played before, so it was interesting to watch him play with other kids who knew the rules. We loved watching him interact with other kids and get some exercise. Maybe he will follow in his daddy's footsteps and be an awesome soccer player! Enjoy the photos of our little booger!! This picture below was HILARIOUS! I kept asking him to open his eyes so I could get his picture, but it was SO bright his eyes were literally pouring water out of them. This is him trying to keep his eyes open!

The gondola ride...our pager for Olive Garden started beeping 1 minute into the ride, so it set quite the romantic tone.

OK so this is a little late, but if you have been keeping up with my photography blog, you will know why. I have just been so busy!! Such a blessing, but I am definitely getting swamped. But anyway, this was Donny and my 5th wedding anniversary on August 2nd, so we got away for the night and flew up to Spokane. What a BEAUTIFUL town. I told Donny I wanted to move there; we'll see what happens with that. We had such a great time riding bikes around town, laying out by the pool, walking by the river, we took a gondola ride over the waterfalls, and got a huge snow cone that was raspberry colada with cream; tasty!! It was so great for us and we are so thankful my parents are right down the street and are always willing to watch the kiddos.

Every summer at Elden Kellar Track in Hillsboro there are a handful of all-comers track meets for all ages. I have always been into track and field so of course I am encouraging my kids to follow in my footsteps. Well, turns out Jeven will probably be pursuing something else. :) He got SMOKED in every event he entered, and not by big kids even, but they were all his age or younger! Needless to say, I am a little bummed that he isn't the natural that his mom is/was, but he had such a great time doing it, maybe all he needs is practice? Everyone keeps telling me "he's only 4" "you can't know anything yet" but ALL the kids are young and ALL the kids beat him! Anyway, I really am ok with it, really...Ok so I am at least working on it. Anyway, here are some pictures of my track star!!

Perspective

Hello friends and family, Donny again here. Been quite the struggle the past 5 months in our family with Jaws breaking, miscarriages, and off and on sickness. It can be easy to let yourself get overwhelmed by these things thinking that life is so hard. And then perspective comes. Some friends of ours in southern Oregon have some family that are REALLY going through hard times. Their 3 and 1/2 year old son is at home right now with grandma and grandpa, so dad and mom (who is 36 weeks pregnant) can take there other son to UCLA hospital so that he can have a liver, bowel, and partial large intestine transplant. So next time you get bummed because your kid wakes up with puke in their bed, thank the Lord for a healthy kid. Next time your child gets a soar throat be thankful that you don't have to seperate your kids for scare of an infection that would keep them in the hospital. Perspective huh? Skate or Die!!!!

I have been skating with my son since he was a month old. I would put him in the snugli until he was too big and then I would hold him. As he got older and braver I would skate with him on my shoulders, standing on the board with me, sitting, and my favorite- the Superman. This is where I hold him about 6 inches above the street horizontally with his arms out in front of him so he flies like superman. I know all you mom's are thinking I can't believe Randi lets him do that! Well you can spend your whole life being careful and then look back on your whole life and realize you never lived or you can take some chances, have a lot of fun, and suffer a few scrapes along the way. Well a few days ago we had our first accident and our first scrapes along the way. We were doing Superman when my weight shifted a little too far forward and both of us slid down our street(Jeven on his side and me on my back-with no shirt!). I was most bummed because I feared I lost the trust of my son. I wanted him always to feel safe in my arms. Get this: the very next day he said, "Daddy, lets go ride the skateboard and do Superman, but just don't drop me." Unbelievable! If only we trusted our Heavenly Father half as much as my innocent boy trusts his Daddy. And guess what? Like my brother Aaron said after I told him this, "Isn't it great that He will never drop us?!"

Arrrg! That's about all I can say. We went to Adam Bascam's wedding this past weekend and had the priviledge of taking the little ones with us. So after the ceremony, I tried to snap some pictures of the kids and honestly, it was like they were teaming up against me and would NOT cooperate! They were having fun playing the game, but seriously, why is it so hard to just get one of them together?! :) I mean, really Jeven, what's with the face?? So, I was disappointed at the time that I didn't get any "good" ones of them together, but after looking at them again, I guess it is a pretty funny sequence to watch unfold!

This was about the best I could get. Little stinkers!

That Blasted Blankie!

So, I know I haven't blogged here in a long time and this isn't the most interesting of stories to be my "come back" post, but it is what I have been dealing with, none the less!
So, Joren has a blanket, she calls "kankee." She loves this thing, it's almost always with her. But lately, I have just been finding it lying around the house, so I will pick it up and hang it on the edge of her crib. Not 10 seconds later I will stumble over it again in the hall, or anywhere in the middle of the floor somewhere.
So, I pick it up and go hang it on her crib again. And once again, not 10 or 15 seconds later, I find it again lying about the house somewhere.
So, I begin to realize that she doesn't necessarily need to be holding it, she just needs for it not to be in her crib. So every time I hang it up she goes in and grabs it, then drops it in some carefully selected place on the floor!

Little stinker! She just tries to make my job a little harder! :0

I just have to share something Jeven said during family devotions this morning. Donny was trying to get Jeven to tell him how we get to heaven, and after many times of re-telling him all we have to do is believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, Jeven still couldn't get that out. But Donny kept asking him, and Jeven finally answered with a very thoughtful look and said, "We need to pack some bags, go to church, and then float on our floaties up to heaven." I just couldn't help but laugh!! So sweet and innocent!

Well, the kids and I were finally on our way to church this morning; the first time in about 2 months. We were about 5 minutes away from church when I looked in the back seat at Joren only to watch her projectile vomit multiple times. I couldn't even believe it. We were out and about all day yesterday and I decided I would just let go of my germaphobia and let the kids be normal. We went to Toysrus and they played and touched everything(I wince at the memories!) and they went to a birthday party and played on the play structures. All the while I kept sanitizing Jeven's hands but for some reason, forgot about Joren. And here we are. Now I remember why I am the way I am about public places. People are inconsiderate and choose to bring their sick kids to places where other kids will be, and I can't stand it. So I am officially turning into a hermit, never to be seen again! Ok, not really, but I am definately going to have a hard time ever wanting to take my kids out again!! All this to say, keep the Lundberg's in your prayers, especially if you ever want to see us again!

Donny's sister got married this past weekend, our friends had babies and our kids are feeling great so there should be lots more posts coming from the Lundberg family!

I haven't really been taking many pictures lately, particularly of my little sickie, but here is one I took yesterday. He is definately feeling better, whether or not he is truly better, he has been feeling mostly better so that is great!

Well, I was hoping my next post would be a "hooray, we are all better!" However, that isn't exactly the case. We had about 3 and a half days last week of being "over it" but then it came back. But, we were able to get into our naturopath's this afternoon, so that we could see if this is still a virus and how many of us still have it. Turns out, I am clear of it, Joren just has a tiny bit, probably because Jeven still has it so she is just fighting it, and Jeven just has a little bit as well. However, his dairy and yeast allergies are flaring up right now, and that is most likely why this has lasted 3 weeks now. So, we are taking him completely off dairy and yeast, and that should help, if not, completely take care of the problem. So, we are hopeful and very tired of this stinkin' virus!

I just thought I would tack on a random picture so there is something to look at, besides sick words!!

I know, I know- all I ever talk about is us being sick, but when that is all that is going on it's hard to find something else to say. I mainly just wanted to keep you all posted; especially for those of you who are praying. We are still sick! I really can't believe it. Joren and I are on day 12 and Jeven day 13! Joren has been pretty much fine the whole time. I think she got a milder version. I mostly just feel sick all the time, with an occasional wave of almost having to puke, but still haven't. And my little Jeven has had his worst 2 days today and yesterday. I woke up yesterday morning so excited because he had gone 2 days without puking, which was definately something to be happy about. However, within an hour of being awake, he started having diarrhea and it really didn't stop until he went to bed. Interestingly, it did stop through the night and once again, no puke!! I am particularly excited about that because I have been home alone and was dreading the thought of having to hold the bucket! But once again, this morning, about an hour after waking up, he started the diarrhea again. Fortunately, he hasn't had any in about 7 hours now, but he hasn't been feeling well at all these past 2 days. And the worst part is that the 2 days before that he was feeling great, having normal poop and eating great!! This bug is so emotional-you think you are over it, you can almost taste normalcy, and then boom-you are hit again and the roller coaster continues. I am really trying to glean everything I can from this time with the Lord, but I am mostly now just sad, worn out, emotionally drained, and annoyingly, still not feeling well myself! So, that should help with the specifics on how to pray. Thanks, by the way, for all of you who are praying. I know that is what is getting us through this! I really hope my next post will be a praise that we are all over it!!

I have a brand new brown vest from Gymboree that I bought for Jeven...actually I bought two of them and never took this one back; it is a long story! Anyway, I lost the receipt and it has been since January that I bought it so I'm sure I could get in-store credit for maybe $.99 or something, which isn't worth the trip for me since I paid like $16 for it on an after Christmas sale. It is size 3-4T. If anyone would like it, it is up for grabs. I just want someone to be able to enjoy it!!

Sick, sick, sick!!

Well, I wish so badly to be giving a great report today, but alas, all of us are STILL SICK!! Yesterday was Donny's birthday and it was so great! Jeven felt great, no symptoms, Joren felt great, no symptoms, and I felt great, no symptoms! Only to wake up to throw up in both of their beds this morning and I myself starting to show symptoms as well! So Jeven is officially on day 10, Joren and I...I really don't know. I started feeling sick last Wednesday but didn't show actual outward symptoms until this morning, and Joren had a little puke last Wednesday, but then nothing else till this last Monday so, hopefully her and I are both on day 9. But really, who the heck knows?? So please continue to pray for us. I really feel like this will never end! I know it will, but my goodness, it has been a week and a half and we still have good days then bad days! What is going on?????

Health update...

Well, Jeven is now on day 7 or 8 of this neverending flu, depending when we say he officially started, and just when we thought we were almost done, Joren woke up this morning in a pile of puke. Of course, still jumping up and down in her crib, smiling, with her crusty pacifier still in her mouth!:) So, we are all definately still sick, but in better spirits. I read my devotional yesterday, Streams in the Desert and it is amazing how every time I pick that book up the Lord is talking directly to me! It was really awesome and I am trying to remember the words of that book when I start to feel myself losing it again.
So thank you for all of you who have been praying and please continue to pray. I know this is just a part of life and everyone goes through it at some point, but it is just really hard to watch your kids go through it. I must say though, the kids are both far happier now that Joren officially has it because mommy is not so neurotic about them touching each other. When I told Jeven this morning that Joren threw up, his face lit up and he said "so I can touch her crib now?" He then proceeded to put his hands in her mouth, rub her face, her hands, and they have been giggling all morning! They really missed each other; how cute!!

Does anyone else ever feel like the Lord is playing tricks on you? It feels blasphemes to even ask that, but that is just how I have been feeling lately. So first Jeven brakes his jaw, then the never-ending miscarriage, and now the long drawn out flu! If you know me at all, you know that one of my biggest fears in life is to throw up, or worse, to have my family throwing up. So I prayed all week, knowing Donny's sister and nieces would be in town this past week, that He would protect all of us from any sickness. Those girls are always sick; there mother would attest to that. So I prayed that specifically the Lord would keep the throwing up stuff out of our house, and what happened? Ashlee, the oldest daughter, started throwing up the first morning she was here and never stopped the whole time she was here! I know some, if not most people, are not like me and don't really care about this kind of stuff. But for me, it is like the world has ended. And what really gets to me is that I prayed all week specifically for this very thing. And now, we are in for this big flu. And not only that, but Ashlee would throw up then feel totally fine, then throw up again, then feel totally fine. So that is what happened to Jeven. He was sick yesterday morning then completely fine the entire rest of the day; never once complaining of a tummy ache, so we went to bed thinking it was over. Then Donny goes into his room this morning to find Jeven laying in a pile of his puke. Sorry for the graphics. So now, we will never know if this is really over and meanwhile, the rest of us possibly getting it. Nedless to say, I am freaking out and having a hard time trusting in the Lord. I know I know, the Lord allows hard times in our lives to make us stronger. I really do know all of that. But it really just seems like everything I pray, he does the exact opposite! Donny often reminds me the Lord isn't our genie who grants our wishes...I know that too! But why is it that it seems like he is playing with me? Some people just don't do well with certain things...why can't that be okay? Why does it seems like he is playing it up?
I really do love the Lord, and in my heart know He knows best. But I am having a hard time submitting to his will when it seems like He continues to take me through fires. I am to the point where I don't even know why to pray. If I pray for His will, then why pray for mine too? I am tempted to pray the opposite of what I would like, cause it seems like that is what happens anyway.
So, all this to say I would love your prayers, and even advice to get through this. Thanks for listening!

Just in case anyone was wondering how everything is going, we are all doing better. Jeven's jaw is healing beautifully and I think I am also pretty much healed. I got more blood drawn today to see what my hormone levels are and I will find out tomorrow. I really haven't had time to do anything with pictures...I think I got a little burned out. But I promise to have something more intersting to post soon. Donny's sister and 2 nieces are in town so I am sure I will have pictures and stories soon!

So the latest update with all this is my bleeding should be stopping and it still isn't. At the ER the other night, the doctor told me the ultrasound looked clear and he removed what he thought was probably the rest of the tissue...but here I am, still bleeding. My doctor told me to go to the ER again if it turned bright red again and last night it did. But quite honestly, we are going to be broke after all this and I just couldn't bring mylelf to even call my doctor. I also just wanted to see what would happen and I made it though the night alive so I guess it was a good decision. So anyway, please continue to pray that this darn bleeding would just go away. I am really trying to trust in the Lord, I really am, but after a week of seeing red toilet water, I am just weakening; more spiritually than physically. I would really appreciate continued prayer. And thanks for all the prayer thus far!

Well, I wasn't sure if we were going to be posting a "Hooray! We are pregnant!" announcement or this one, and well, I guess that answers that question. I figured this would be an easier way to let people know that we miscarried rather than telling people individually. So, we officially lost the baby on Friday evening; I was about 9 weeks along. I am actually doing alright with it; we weren't exactly trying so that made it a little easier. I am anxious to know that it is all passed and we can be moving on. Not sure if there are any more little Lundbergs in our future, it's a little too soon to make any decision like that right now. So, when it rains it pours, I guess. First Jeven's jaw, now this. I know the Lord has a plan...just wish I knew what it was.

Jeven's broken jaw

We have had quite the crazy week. I think most of you have heard but for those who haven't, last Sunday, we were at church and Jeven was climbing on a huge cougar statue in the library and it fell and landed on his face. Long story short, he broke his jaw in 3 places and we had to spend 2 nights in the hospital, with surgery on Monday. He did AMAZING! The doctors would come in and Donny and I would be balling and Jeven was just like "hey doctor." He barely had any pain meds and was such a brave little boy. We had so many people from our church come to visit and pray and just hang out, it was awesome. We felt so blessed and the Lord really covered so many things while we were there. The surgeon said the procedure went picture perfect and that Jeven should be good as new real soon! We are just so thankful for all the prayer and support; the Lord is awesome! Jeven is doing great now, we can hardly get him to sit still. The hardest part for him is finding soft foods he will eat and reminding him he needs to rest. So, here are some pictures documenting our time in the hospital and some recovery at home, some of which are from a camera phone so please excuse the poor quality. Some quick explanations; the puddle picture is just a picture of my tear puddle. I looked down after I had been crying and saw I had made quite the puddle! The motorcycle racing is a little gift from Ian & Mindy and we definately used it to stay busy; the boys were trying to get "Peacock" (jeven names him that) to hit the hospital room door...and they finally succeeded. The baloon hitting pictures were just...the things we do to get a smile from our little guy! So thanks again for everyone who prayed, brought us food, toys, balloons, visited, helped financially, and everything else! We are so appreciative of it all!

Donny thinks mustaches look stupid and that he should be able to have a gotee, especially since the CEO of his company has one. Every winter, a group of Donny's friends get together at Black Butte Ranch, near Sisters, Oregon for a weekend "reunion." This year, we decided to do it without kids which was a great success! We had a great time and I tried to docoment it as we went along. It is actually hard for me to post these pictures because I haven't really edited any of them and a lot were taken inside so the picture quality is terrible! But, I don't have the time to make them what they should be so I am just going to post them and let you enjoy our weekend! I will be posting more and more every day for a while, but for now I thought I would get the first group up. Ok, so I just realized after I uploaded the first 5, I need to switch all the 100 pictures over to jpeg mode if I want to post them so it may be a while until all the pictures are up. I am sending out a little test here... I want to know if anyone actually checks this blog or if I am just wasting precious time that I should be spending cooking, cleaning and raising my kids, posting pictures and info for family and friends who never take the time to check.
So, what I am asking is that if you are checking this, if you are able to would you post a comment? Even if it just says "yes I check it" I would appreciate it. If you can't figure out how to post a comment shoot us an email at ifly4god@yahoo.com saying that you check it. Now, I know not everyone checks up on blogs everyday so I am going to give this a week. If I get responses it must mean that people are checking in and I will continue blogging, but if not, well, I will probably stop doing it. I mean, the only people who I know check are my good friend Kami, who I now see at least once a week, and my parents, who I see multiple times a week. I greatly appreciate both of their visits, but the real reason I keep this blog up is for people who don't get to see us very much.

Well, here are some pictures from my day with Mindy today. She gave me quite the tutorial this afternoon and was so very helpful! I really feel a lot more confident when it comes to using my camera. She let me snap off a few of her adorable son Cade when we were finished and I am still trying to figure out what makes her pictures light years ahead of mine, especially since she adjusted the settings for me and we were both shooting in the same mode, but luckily, Cade is a little cutie so any picture of him will turn out great! Well, I finally got my first professional camera, and so far I have been pretty discouraged. I know it is just me and my inexperience, but I have been getting either really grainy or blurry pictures. :( But I know it will get better! So this is the first picture that turned out ok. Not the most interesting of pictures, but at least it isn't too grainy or blurry. She is definately a deep thinker!

Donny's sister Evie had her little boy Jordan Mitchell on January 6th and we were fortunate enough to leave the kiddos with my parents and stay a couple days with her and Jordan, and hubby Bill, of course in Southern California. Jordan is such a little doll. I have to admit that I caught a bit of the baby bug while being down there, but I think it has mostly worn off! I was really hoping to get some great newborn shots seeing as how I have been trying to take up photography, however due to MANY unfortunate circumstances, like no new camera, bad lighting, and tough schedules to name a few, I was only able to snap off a couple. They turned out alright, just not as creative as I was hoping for. It definately helped that he was such a cutie!! But hopefully Evie will let me come back down soon to take some more of her little prince. He really is a beautiful baby!

Eagle Crest 3rd post: Dance night

Here are just a few pictures from our Christmas over at my parents house. We had a great time and it was such a blessing to have Donny home; he was supposed to be working but never got called out. What an answer to prayer! We did our traditional Luke reading and sang a few songs Christmas Eve, then Christmas morning did the opening of presents and stockings. And I am happy to announce that Jeven did a very good job at not being greedy, but was very well mannered and was very interested in every gift, with the exception of the socks and underwear! Also, Joren got her first baby doll (ok so she got 5, but hey, a girl can never have enough dolls!), but Jeven stole it and proceeded to nurse his baby like mommy does! He is such a parrot! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas too!

Well this took place last week actually, but I am jost now getting around to posting! We had a great day, making fudge, rice krispy treats, white chocolate peppermint bark and of course SUGAR COOKIES!! It was a blast and Jeven had fun making them with me...and eating them, of course. After a while, though, he was on the couch with Daddy for some snuggle time! I love the last picture-it looks like Joren's foot is the one sticking out and is so big! Ha ha!

So, I have been just incredibly overwhelmed lately, in every aspect of my life, and coming to the end of my rope. Donny is gone a lot with his job, I am having a "teeth crisis" that is posing as this dark cloud not allowing me to see joy in anything, and to make a long story short, KIDS. Anyway, all this to say I was doing my quiet time this afternoon and the Lord gave me an amazing word that I thought I would share...
It was from the old devotional book Streams in the Desert , and it said "Do not fret, or set your teeth, or wait doggedly for the suffering to pass; but get out of it all you can, both for yourself and for your service to your generation, according to the will of God." The passage of scripture that corresponds with it was 2 Corinthians chapter 1. So, if you are feeling as I am, or have been feeling the loving chastening of the Lord, be encouraged for it is all for the will of God, and He loves you so very much!

Well, my dad, Donny, the kids and I headed up the hills to get a Christmas tree and we had a blast!! I was mainly taking the camera to test the lighting and ISO, and basically I learned NOTHING! Some pictures turned out clear and some so bad you couldn't even tell what was going on, and I have no idea why?!? But, we had a great time and got a cute little Christmas tree!
